Route: Gmap's pedometer site (roughly)

I've just realised I've not written up about this ride a week later... I was away for a long weekend with some friends last weekend, staying in a caravan in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch; on the Saturday some of us went over to the Beaumaris festival and saw the Red Arrows, who were great, and the local lifeboats, amongst other things; it was very pleasant.

Four of us went out for a ride on Sunday around and about that bit of Anglesey - following NCN 6 (I think) and various roads. In that part of North Wales the traffic is light on virtually all roads apart from the A55 dual carriageway to Holyhead, so traffic wasn't a problem. The route above is a bit random - I do have the actual route on my GPS but the transcription to Gmap-pedometer is a bit rough and ready.

We did 24 miles - I was pleased with that distance, though it was a bit further than I had originally felt like doing(!) and the terrain was undulating; there weren't many steep hills and it was just a case of attacking the ones we did encounter, really. Yes, I did walk a couple - but I don't have a problem with that!

It certainly wore us out... well, some of us, anyway - but was a nice day out. I was just pleased with another 24m ride under my belt on terrain that wasn't totally flat!
