I wasn't particularly planning to log every ride to work, but it's still a novelty for me, please bear with me! After riding to work back in May, I knew that I could do it (you can read about it here). It was a prayer day today so I knew I wouldn't have much physical work so I thought that I'd ride in; getting there was fairly uneventful, but still harder work than it should have been (probably because I'd not been up long and breakfast hadn't had a chance to go down). Coming back was more leisurely, so I thought I'd investigate the route via the Mersey - most of this route is on gravel path or tarmac (although some of the river path is very bumpy, made of mud and broken bricks). I was on the home straight, so to speak... and then I took a wrong turn, ending up next to Chorlton Evangelical church! OK, I admit it, I got lost in Chorlton Ees, which added another couple of miles to my homeward journey. Still, it was a pleasant enough ride (and perhaps slightly downhill?) so it wasn't too much of a problem - I could have just done without it!

So, there we go. Another trip to work, notable only for its odd route home really. Still, I was encouraged.
